What is the Miners & Loggers Delight?
Miners & Loggers Delight is a 24-hour endurance rally hosted by Backroads of Appalachia that brings riders and drivers from across the country to explore the scenic backroads of southern West Virginia. Beginning and ending in historic Hinton, participants spend the weekend discovering mountain roads, small towns, local businesses, and some of the most beautiful landscapes in Appalachia.
Whether you're participating in the rally or cheering competitors on, the weekend is an opportunity to experience Summers County while supporting local communities throughout the region.

About the Rally
Backroads of Appalachia's Miners & Loggers Delight is more than a road rally, it's an Appalachian adventure. Participants navigate hundreds of miles of scenic backroads over a 24-hour period, discovering historic towns, mountain overlooks, winding roads, and hidden gems throughout southern West Virginia. The event begins and ends in downtown Hinton while raising funds to support Backroads of Appalachia and the Hinton Area Foundation.

What to Know Before You Go
Planning to tackle the backroads of Appalachia? Here's everything you should know before arriving in Hinton for Miners & Loggers Delight III.
Please read over the Rules and Requirements. Failure to do so may result in tech inspection failure. Vehicles that fail tech inspection will not be allowed to run in the event.
REGISTER EARLY
Space is limited. Complete your registration before arriving in Hinton.
CELL SERVICE
Some mountain roads have limited cell reception. Download maps or route information ahead of time if provided.
RESPECT LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Drive responsibly, obey posted speed limits, and help preserve the welcoming communities that host the rally.
WEATHER
Mountain weather can change quickly. Pack layers and be prepared for rain or cooler temperatures.
