JOHN HENRY DAYS
•Talcott, WV•
JULY 10TH - JULY 12th, 2026

HOME OF THE STEEL DRIVIN' MAN

What is John Henry Days?

John Henry Days celebrates the legendary steel-driving man whose story has become one of America's most enduring folk tales. Held every 2nd weekend in July in Talcott, West Virginia, the festival brings visitors together for live music, a parade, craft vendors, food, family activities, and the chance to visit the John Henry Historical Park and Museum near the Great Bend Tunnel where the legend was born.

Whether you're here for the music, local traditions, or to stand where history and folklore meet, John Henry Days offers a uniquely West Virginia experience in the southern gateway to New River Gorge National Park.
